Recently there was a question on the boards concerning the placement of the firing pin for anterior abutments. Basically the question was should the pin still support the abutment somewhat (pin not touching obviously ), or should it just stay more apically and fill in the rest with Object Fix, Wonderpeg, etc.
The opinion was that it is the pin extension above the screw access that is the problem, but the pin touching the e.max. The pin can be Placed in the screw access and made sure that it isn't wedged against the inside walls. One can place a blob of object fix in the access hole and the base then place it on the tray.
Here a picture how it can be done.
