TiBases and e.max mesoblocks have allowed us to bring restoring implant restorations into our office. Simpler, faster, and better; one piece or two pieces – it is great to have options.
One issue that has disturbed me about this procedure's workflow is that when you are designing your perfect crown you have a large red circle covering part of the anatomy. The Bermuda triangle of CEREC implant dentistry! All changes that enter are lost. Enter at your own risk!
Here is a screenshot of a restoration I placed in hyper Occlusion so the contact points are exaggerated to aid in the demonstration.
Because of where the red dot is, there can be some confusion where the final occlusion is. If the case is split, I could fix it later after splitting but why do the same work twice.
By going to Display Options and using the transparency slider, the red spot disappears allowing you to see the whole surface. Allowing you to finish you design the first time. No need to modify after the split.
The simple things can make a world of difference. Take back control from your system. Use transparency and perfect the occlusion!
