I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Dennis Fasbinder for ten years. To me, because of his research over the years, he is one of the best resource for information concerning CAD/CAM dentistry. His topic for the Symposium is Effective Techniques for CEREC Longevity.

Dr. Fasbinder is currently the Director of the Computerized Dentistry Program and a clinical professor in the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences and Endodontics, University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is board certified in general dentistry by the American Board of General Dentistry. He also maintains a part-time private practice in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Dr. Fasbinder directs the computerized dentistry unit at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry that is dedicated to research and education on CAD/CAM dental systems. The CompuDent Unit has been a leader in education and research with the CEREC system since 1993 serving as the primary basic training center or Patterson Canada since 2001. He has been the principle investigator on many laboratory and clinical trials funded by industry and foundation grants.

Dr. Fasbinder sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Computerized Dentistry and as a reviewer for six dental journals.  He is the author of numerous journal articles, abstracts and has contributed to several textbooks. He is a sought-after speaker and has presented programs on digital dental systems at more than 500 national and international programs.
