HAVING ISSUES WITH CEREC BIOCOPY- TRY THIS

If you have the 4.2.3 or the 4.2.4 CEREC software version installed, there may be occasions where Biocopy does not stitch with confidence all the time. It’s vastly improved from previous versions, but there may be clinical situations where no matter what you try, the two Biocopy models will not stitch.

If you are experiencing issues such as these, try to image your Biocopy images from the occlusal. Don’t start imaging your models from the buccal or lingual. It appears that there may be certain situations where the software doesn’t like buccal imaging when doing Biocopy.

Now this is only for Biocopy and only on versions 4.2.3 and 4.2.4. Fortunately this minor bug has already been identified and is being corrected by Sirona. So whenever the next software update is released, you can be assured that Biocopy will work well and you wont be limited to starting your imaging from the occlusal. For now however, start your imaging for Biocopy on the occlusal and it will minimize any stitching issues.
