Mike Skramstad I get a lot of questions about which shade of the MO blocks to use for hybrid abutment crowns. For me, it depends on the final shade of the crown. Basically, I try to create a value core based on the final shade.
For most teeth that my final shade is going to be in the A1, A2, or A3 range, my block of choice has been the 14MO 2 (see picture below). If you want anything lighter than that, I choose the MO1 block (bleach shades).
