I recently had the opportunity to lecture in Sydney Australia. The Sirona folks down there threw a great symposium. On the program was Imtiaz, Dr. Tarun Agarwal, Dr. Ed Mclaren, myself and some local down under dentists.
Sydney is a beautiful city and ever since I watched "Finding Nemo" with the kids, I thought it would be great to visit the dental office of Dr. P. Sherman on 42 Wallaby Way. But as you can see from the google map, either an earthquake displaced Dr. Shermans office or Nemo is very adept with the local subway system. After the event, we had a spectacular dinner with cerecdoctors.com member Dr. Hugh Fleming. He showed tremendous hospitality by inviting us out of towners to his house for dinner. I wanted to publically thank Hugh and his wife for being such gracious hosts. As you can see, he has a beautiful view from his house of the harbor. I also had a great time visiting members of the website who have made the trip to the States from down under - Stuart Long and Peter Elfar- great to connect with you guys. What I found most interesting is that Sydney is not too different from the States in terms of dentistry. The clinicians battle the same issues that we do with regards to patients, payments, bonding, sensitivity, everything. Its amazing that you can go half way around the world yet you feel like you really haven't left. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to visit Sydney. Beautiful city and beautiful people.
