CEREC Restorations - Complex Long Term Cases are the Best
This patient came to see me first in December of 2011. We just finished his case. These are the most rewarding for me and the patients usually become good friends. We started with an ortho and oral surgeon consults. The entire process hinged on the waxup we first made. Ortho was completed, implants were placed #6 and 11 with immediate temps and then the fun started with the CEREC. Some soft tissue recontouring was done post surgery with the laser, but the interproximal papilla in #8/9 is the best we could get. He has a choice at the beginning and then mid way through to make his smile perfect (veneers in addition to ortho) or keep them as they are which is thin and somewhat mishsaped. I think he made the correct choice. He couldn't be any happier and now his wife is coming to me for a full mouth esthetic case (we just have to wait for their second baby in 3 more months).
The most challenging part was the esthetics of the CEREC implant crowns shade MO1 abutment and Value 2 impulse e.max block. It took a lot of staining by my assistant but in the end we were all happy. I like the canines to have a yellow natural look and here they blend well.
