ABUTMENT MASTER...please evaluate
Hi everyone-
I created an interactive .pdf that will help all dentist, staff, reps, etc... with their ordering with Abutments. I would like it if you all would evaluate this, tell me what you think, and also point out any mistakes or things I may have missed. The idea is that you just follow the prompts of what implant system you are using, the size, etc... and it will guide you directly to the appropriate place on Patterson's website to order directly. It will be updated as further products are introduced.
I also attached it below and it's available in the download section as well HERE under Materials and Products
Mike ,
It is very complete. I like the images of the attachment.
Which ones are 048 and which ones are 050 for the drivers?

I've never been able to mill an L block with 3i Biomet 3.4 with the tibase base. I just did a case recently and Bob Conte sent me an A14 S block for the abutment.

I don't want to confuse people with drivers. I have to be under the assumption that people have the correct drivers for the implants they are going to restore. You can find the driver information on Marc Thomas's tibase wiki HERE
This is strictly for ordering the correct parts, blocks, and miscellaneous things you have to have.

The 3.4 3i Certain needs the (S).. the 3.4 3i Ex Hex uses the (L)
Very nice. I will link back to this from the wiki. Of course, thanks to you Mike, I will have to bring my game up and make the wiki look like a website that wasn't created in the early 90s.
Thanks Mike! This will come in very handy. Maybe add gray scanbodies for Omnicam to the misc. parts?

What does everyone think about this? I personally haven't used a grey scanbody in over 2 years. I find that the white ones work just as good and are included in the Tibase kit that you must buy for every case.
Mike,
Once again, you are the man! My only complaint is that I will no longer have anything to add on this site; I was feeling needed and like I added value- no longer between you and Marc!!!
This is fantastic. One suggestion is that you may need to clarify the Nobel section. When you ask "what implant system are you using?", remember that a Nobel Replace implant is available with a Replace (trilobe) connection or an Active (conical) connection. So a surgeon can send a note telling the restorative dentist that a Nobel Replace implant was placed but they may also be dealing with an Active (Conical) connection. This is not true for the opposite- the Nobel Active implant does not come with an option of a Replace (trilobe) connection. Perhaps under Nobel Replace Implant, just have two flowcharts or options of connection paths (Replace or Conical- these are the two adopted terms on the Nobel Labels). PM me or call me at 757-288-6671 if you want further clarifcation- but this is AWESOME.
Thank you,
Trey

This was in my spare time :)
How this came about was a conversation with Don Bell of Ivoclar. There is some genuine confusion on what you need to order. I messed around with a couple ideas one night and came up with this. Wanted it to be simple. Glad you all like it.
@Trey-
I don't know why Nobel makes everything so confusing. I tried to just go by the tibase systems, but I will look into a way to do what you asked.

Mike, this is awesome!!!! But looking at the Biomet 3i area in the PDF and opening the 3.4 Certain window, the block sizes you have indicated in the photo are size L and states "must be size L". Do you mean the size S block?

This is very well done for sure.
I've never used a grey scan body with Omni. The white ones are "free" and work fine.
This is AWESOME! This makes the ordering step a much easier one to delegate.
Thanks for sharing,
Justin
Thanks Mike. Amazing job. It makes ordering easier. I have printed it out and I have written the part numbers on the page. Ordering has never been more simple for something that can sometimes become overwhelming. Thanks again.
Robert
Looks complete. Im wondering if an index of what clone implant fits what tibase ie conus -> astra or biohorizons -> zimmer would be possible
So Awesome !
Can you keep adding for Hiossen, Blue Sky, Implant Direct , Biocon, Astra etc etc and hope this isn't "pileing on " -- Make it an APP
o my gosh Mike this is incredible. This is going to help Docs and their staf to easily order.
Fantastic idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woof
Does this work with the Canadian Patterson Website?
I just tried it several times but only get "error" when I "add to cart" with the TiBase order.
On 8/20/2015 at 12:56 pm, Mike Skramstad (Faculty) said... Good question Nassim. I'm not sure.
I entered the item# and still would not "add to cart".
So I think the Canadians are out of this one!
It's a great idea that would make it easy for the assistants to order. Can it be tweaked to accomodate Patterson.ca?
Is there an update to this now?
Thanks
It takes us to the Patterson webpage then stops without showing the parts needed.
