Beautiful Katana STML on Atlantis Abutment

I am looking forward to delivering this case after using the Atlantis workflow.  Once my Atlantis account was set up correctly, it's not only about the weborder.com setup, you need to let Dentsply Sirona know to set up your account for Omnicam scanning.

Once the approprate accounts are set up the workflow is a breeze and importing the Core File and using Biocopy is flawless.

The crown is Katana A1 STML, glazed only.  The Atlantis Zirconia abutment is shade 20.  The implant is Straumann 3.3 bone level.

I will post more photos once the crown and abutment is seated in the next week or so.

Is that an all-zirc abutment?

Yes it is.

Great case Bill... have been wanting to see and do some on an anterior. I wonder when it will be an option for chairside multilayer anytime soon, and not just Premium...

Looks great, make sure to use the insertion guide with all zirc abutments.

Mark,

Good news, this case was done thru Chairside Connect and sent to Atlantis and then imported into Chairside 4.5.2 for me to finish the crown.  I didn't use my Premium.

Thank you Dan.  I look forward to using the Insertion Guide, no experience yet with it.  Any advice?

Yep.... and it's a crown from there on... I've had a couple of cases scanned in chairside for implants where I would have like to have milled the Katana to compare side by side to e.Max, but it's not yet a veneering material available there. Still would like to see them side by side... but your case is completely fantastic...

It's really easy.  The abutment fits in only one way, so load it before the patient gets there with the screw inside.  The guide will fit around the adjacent teeth, once seated, just hand tighten the screw and remove the guide.  Try in crown and torque as normal, but go slow torquing and be careful not to go higher than the recommended torque with zirc abutments.

Great looking case Bill. Would love to see intra-oral pics once you deliver.

My only hesitation (based on research and previous experiences) is that I am very uneasy with all-zirc abutments, especially on narrow diameter restorative platforms such as the NC. I personally have completely abandoned all-zirc abutments.

Farhad,

What are your design parameters (gingival depths) for the Atlantis abutments when in anterior and using gold titanium custom abutments?

That A1 block you got on there sure does look pretty...where oh where did you find that!!!

Nice job man that looks sweet.  Indenco spray glaze?

Buccal: 1mm subgingival

Interproximal: 0.5-1 mm subgingival

Palatal/Lingual: 0.5 mm subgingival or equigingival

If the buccal tissue thickness is 2 mm or more the color of the abutment will not have an effect on the final esthetic outcome (Jung et al.).

Jarrod,

Yes, Idenco spray glaze.  And thanks for supplying the block after I had a milling issue with my block!
